How it works
The input string is normalized and hashed locally in the browser — unless it is one of the archive’s own 48 hue names, which is looked up rather than hashed, because for those words there is a right answer.
That hash is mapped into stable hue, saturation, and lightness values.
The same word always returns the same color, making it useful as a lightweight visual signature.
